On October 4, families, survivors, and communities gather in circles to remember our loved ones who never came home. Sisters in Spirit Vigils are not just events, they are sacred spaces where we honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals (MMIWG2S+). At the heart of every vigil are the families who carry stories of unimaginable loss, and the survivors who courageously share their truths. These vigils belong to them. By gathering, we lift up their voices, hold space for their healing, and promise that their loved ones will never be forgotten.
