Good times at Toronto Alumni Gathering

There has been a lot of change in the last couple of years, and with change come new ideas and tremendous opportunity for growth. New research explores how eating and feeding change for individuals and families when someone is sick

Acadia University professor Dr. Catherine Morley has launched a website that highlights her current research into feeding a loved one who is sick. Once she discovered the powerful emotions associated with eating, feeding and illness, she had to learn more.

Alumni Association holds AGM: sets strategic priorities, applauds outgoing Board members

The Acadia Alumni Association’s Annual General Meeting occurred on Saturday, May 7, 2022. It was the Association’s first hybrid meeting and there were approximately 35 attendees from across Canada, the United States, The Bahamas, and Germany. The Board reported on finances, programming, and the many strategic initiatives undertaken over the past year. The 2021-2022 Annual Report was also presented and is available to view HERE.

Distinguished individuals from public service, education, and science receive honorary degrees

On May 8 and 9, 2022, more than 800 graduates from Acadia University’s four faculties – Arts, Pure and Applied Science, Professional Studies, and Theology – received their undergraduate and graduate diplomas, joining Acadia’s more than 40,000 alumni worldwide. In addition, Acadia conferred five honorary degrees on individuals who have distinguished themselves in public service, education, and scientific research.
