The Acadia University community deserves a great big “Thank You” this Thank You Thursday.

Approximately 40 #AcadiaU alumni and friends came together at The Auction House in Halifax on Friday, Nov. 24 for a pre-game gathering prior to the AUS contest at Scotiabank Centre between the Acadia Axemen and StFX X-men and a FIBA World Cup qualifying match between Team Canada and the Bahamas.

This year, for #GivingTuesdayCa, Acadia’s fundraising focus is on one of our longest-serving community programs – S.M.I.L.E.

Geoff Gates ('13) has a challenge for alumni who volunteered with the S.M.I.L.E. program. The former student director says Giving Tuesday is a great time to give back to S..M.I.L.E. 

Acadia University supporters enjoyed a reception at the National Music Centre in Calgary where they toured Studio Bell and met up with friends of the music program. 

When Acadia hosts the Uteck Bowl, in the stands and watching on screens around the globe will be football alumni who still feel like part of the team. And, that's because they are - as donors.
