A lively and engaged group of Acadia alumni turned out in full force on Monday, October 30, 2023 to the Glencoe Club in Calgary, AB to meet University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99). More than 50 alumni filled the room as Dr. Hennessy shared his thoughts on returning to Acadia as President and his vision for the University in the future.

Terrific crowds, engaged alumni a winning combination at Homecoming 2023

What a thrill to welcome hundreds of Acadia alumni back to Wolfville for Homecoming 2023! Temperatures were cool but seasonal, and the rain that was forecast for Saturday and Sunday held off long enough for returning alumni to enjoy a full slate of events in literally every corner of the Acadia campus.

Nick Vidito: the heartbeat of his community

It’s impossible to miss the pride in the voices of Joy and Rodney Vidito when they talk about their son Nick. There’s an undertone of sadness as well, but it’s overwhelmed by precious memories of what this exceptional young man accomplished before succumbing to muscular dystrophy in 2016 at the age of 28. Nick’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, though, and thanks to the efforts of several alumni and friends, his legacy will be brought to the fore when the Nicholas Vidito Memorial Hockey Award is presented to a deserving Acadia hockey student-athlete.
