Plenty to appreciate and enjoy at 2022 Acadia Alumni Golf Tournament

There was much to enjoy and plenty to appreciate on July 29, 2022 at the 40th Acadia Alumni Golf Tournament at KenWo Golf Club in New Minas, Nova Scotia, located in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. Participants were pumped and the mood was upbeat as 25 teams and more than 120 golfers took to the course to celebrate our alumni community and provide financial support to incoming Acadia students.

Acadia alumnus Dr. Paul Corkum wins Wolf Prize in Physics

Nearly 60 years after graduating from Acadia University, Dr. Paul Corkum (’65, ’06 HON) has joined a distinguished group of 11 individuals who have been awarded a 2022 Wolf Prize. Dr. Corkum and his research partners, Dr. Ferenc Krausz of Germany and Dr. Anne L’Huillier of Sweden, were named this year’s Wolf Prize Laureates in Physics for pioneering contributions to ultrafast laser science and attosecond physics.

Acadia geoscience student wins prestigious scholarship

Mitch Maracle (’22), a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, was named on June 15, 2022 as one of only 20 recipients from a pool of close to 800 of the $10,000 per year (for up to four years) RBC Indigenous Youth Scholarship.
