Suzanne Knight (’07) presented an incredibly positive perspective on crisis management with her very informative presentation, “Never waste a good crisis: embrace the opportunity for transformation” at this year’s Toronto Business Breakfast on February 15, 2024. Highlighting that flexibility and leadership are key, Suzanne stressed that we all must start small and learn fast, and remember that all crises come with their own set of ripple effects.
A terrific crowd of alumni, incoming students, potential students, alumni and community packed The Coral Reef Room at the Margaritaville Beach Resort in Nassau on February 12, 2024 to meet new President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99) and experience his passion for the University. A large and enthusiastic group of Acadia alumni and prospective students joined Vice-President, Advancement Nancy Handrigan (’92) and Acadia enrolment services staff Leigh-Ann Murphy and Clara Gates-Flaherty (’22) at the Fourways Restaurant and Inn in Paget, Bermuda on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 for an alumni gathering.
In a heartwarming display of the spirit of giving, a significant announcement was made at the Acadia Alumni Holiday Reception in Halifax, N.S. Distinguished alum Janice MacNeill ('76) has generously donated an extraordinary $1 million gift.
A cool, crisp day on December 3, 2023 provided the perfect backdrop for this year’s Holiday Skate and Carol Sing at Acadia University. A fine group laced up the blades at the Andrew H. McCain Arena at 2 p.m. to start things off. Folks then gathered on the Clark Terrace at the Wu Welcome Centre/Alumni Hall from 4-5 p.m. for a carol sing led by local entertainers Donna and Andy.
