Acadia ALERT - Campus Closed (Weather)

Today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Acadia University will remain closed, with the exception of residences and Wheelock Dining Hall, due to the current campus and travel conditions. Wheelock Dining Hall may adjust their hours and any change in hours will be communicated through Residence Life.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Any events scheduled for today will be postponed or cancelled.

Updates will be posted on www.acadiau.ca and pre-recorded on Acadia’s Information Line: 902-585-4636 (585-INFO) and on 585 phone system voicemail. PowerHour 1: Stress, Mental Health & Resilience

We are pleased to share that our institution will be participating in the Atlantic Institutions PowerHour Series, a new mental-resilience initiative presented by the Atlantic Institute for Resilience (AIR).
 
We are excited to invite you to an upcoming 60-minute interactive skill-building session on stress management, mental health, and resilience-building, presented by AIR Institutes. Join us for the session on January 14, 2026 at 11:45 am (AST) / 12:15 pm (NST).
 
 
Led by resilience expert Dr. Jackie Kinley, this session will provide practical tools and strategies to help you navigate workplace pressures, regulate your emotions, and foster long-term well-being.
