Suzanne Knight (’07) presented an incredibly positive perspective on crisis management with her very informative presentation, “Never waste a good crisis: embrace the opportunity for transformation” at this year’s Toronto Business Breakfast on February 15, 2024. Highlighting that flexibility and leadership are key, Suzanne stressed that we all must start small and learn fast, and remember that all crises come with their own set of ripple effects.

A terrific crowd of alumni, incoming students, potential students, alumni and community packed The Coral Reef Room at the Margaritaville Beach Resort in Nassau on February 12, 2024 to meet new President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99) and experience his passion for the University. The Office of Advancement and Enrolment Services co-hosted the event and provided updates, news and information about Acadia, on-the-spot admissions, and valuable how-to registration information.

University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (’99) and Executive Director, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (’93, ’06) were greeted with island warmth and excitement when they visited alumni in Bridgetown, Barbados on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024.

A large and enthusiastic group of Acadia alumni and prospective students joined Vice-President, Advancement Nancy Handrigan (’92) and Acadia enrolment services staff Leigh-Ann Murphy and Clara Gates-Flaherty (’22) at the Fourways Restaurant and Inn in Paget, Bermuda on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 for an alumni gathering.

The Acadia University community came together recently to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Geoffrey D. Kott Athlete-Scholar Awards, a pillar of support for student-athletes striving for excellence in sports and academics.

The Acadia community rallied in November to tackle food insecurity by participating in the University’s Take Ten, Give Ten campaign as part of Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. Contributions raised $7,000 to tackle student food insecurity on the Wolfville, Nova Scotia campus.
