The Athenaeum, Acadia's student newspaper, marks 150 years this year. On November 15, current and former staff, alumni, community members, and student journalism supporters gathered to celebrate the publication at the K. C. Irving Environmental Science Centre on campus.
Winners have been announced in the 12th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards competition, with Acadia’s External Relations and Marketing and Communications offices earning a dozen awards for top honours in multiple categories.
For the first time in the event’s history, Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW) took place in Wolfville from November 7-10, 2024, with many members of the Acadia alumni community earning accolades, awards and recognition.
Alumni Relations and Student Enrolment staff teamed up once again on November 12 in Ottawa to share the magic of Acadia University. Red and blue filled the St. Laurent Room at the Lord Elgin Hotel, with alumni representing graduation years from the 1960s to early 2020s in attendance.
A nostalgic crowd of Acadia alumni, family and friends gathered at The Stubborn Goat in Halifax on November 9 for a reception to celebrate the achievements of Acadia's 1990 CIAU championship-winning soccer team and alum Dr. Christina Atkinson (‘91) ahead of their induction into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame.
