Destination Acadia

Testimonials

"Acadia University was a hospitable and convenient location for our recent international symposium of 180 people. We were warmly and efficiently received in every way and our special requests were welcomed. The facilities were modern and the staff were accessible. Looking forward to doing it again soon."

- Beth Wood, Symposium Coordinator, NAIITS: An Indigenous Learning Community, June 2018

"Sport Nova Scotia had the pleasure to host more than 1,300 students at Acadia University during our annual Milk Sport Fair. The venue was ideal for our event and the staff were outstanding! We would highly recommend Acadia University as a venue to host large events."

- Jeff LeDrew, Director of Marketing and Events, Sport Nova Scotia, May 2018

"The setting is spectacular, the venue beautiful and the service-delivery team is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
Techsploration works with schools throughout Nova Scotia to encourage girls in grades nine through twelve to maintain their focus on math and science and to consider careers in science, technology, trades, engineering and math (related) fields as exciting options for their future. As the culmination to a school year-long, multiphase program, the conference provides the opportunity for girls from rural and urban, and Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal areas of the province to meet, work together and become friends—all while learning with and from each other.
After two years at the campus, the events team at Acadia University, from bussers to management, continues to be incredibly welcoming and professional. No request is too unreasonable and no question goes unanswered. The events team at Acadia works very closely with our own very small team to ensure that we provide our participants with a comfortable, inviting and most importantly—safe environment where learning and laughing happen together and every single girl feels special."

 - Arylene Reycraft, Executive Director, Techsploration, May 2018

“The professionalism and efficient work done by the Event Services team made our experience at Acadia the best it could be. Everyone at the University was amazing - from the service desk to the custodial staff to the operations team itself – all were extremely helpful, and very happy to do so.   As you know, working in events, this makes all the difference in the world.”

- Erica McCartney, Event Supervisor, Rogers Hometown Hockey

“Devour! The Food Film Fest has been hosting functions at Acadia University since its inception. Each year the university generously works with us to present world-class events at its venues–beautiful spaces all within walking distance in the town of Wolfville–supported by a truly professional team. The staff work hard to ensure each unique event goes off without a hitch.”

- Lia Rinaldo, Managing Director - Devour! The Food Film Fest

"Acadia University was a lovely venue for our small science conference. The beautiful architecture and lush environs were a perfect match for the comfortable June climate. Our 250+ delegates enjoyed the comfort of the Festival Theater and the convenient and welcoming downtown Wolfville area… and we couldn’t have done it without the outstanding assistance of our supportive hosts at Acadia. Thanks to you all for a brilliant Symposium!"
