Each year, we award more than $4 million to students in the form of scholarships, scholar-bursaries, bursaries, awards, and prizes. Award of up to $2,000 | Eligibility: Geology, Returning student (has completed Acadia University Geology Field School)
The Kirk Woodman Memorial Award is awarded annually to a returning student majoring in Geology, who has completed the Acadia University Geology field school, on the recommendation of the Earth and Environmental Science department. The deserving recipient will be a well-rounded individual with strong quality of character and integrity, viewed as a leader by faculty and peers alike. The recipient must enjoy working in a variety of field conditions, be able to work independently or in a team, and have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to a student demonstrating community involvement and one who regularly enriches the lives of others.
