Scholarships and Financial Assistance

With education costs on the rise, enhancing student assistance is a top priority for Acadia. Each year, we award more than $4 million to students in the form of scholarships, scholar-bursaries, bursaries, awards, and prizes. By maintaining a strong scholarship and financial assistance program, we are able to attract, retain and support our students.

As a donor to scholarships and financial assistance, you can direct your gift toward: general award funds or awards for specific departments, faculties, research, or athletic teams; any existing named awards; or you can create a personal legacy by establishing a named award yourself. Jean Amy & Jane MacIntyre Memorial Award in Music

The Jean Amy & Jane MacIntyre Memorial Award in Music is awarded annually on recommendation of the Director of the School of Music to a student registered in that School who is making commendable progress with preference given in the study of piano or organ.

The award was first provided in 1980 by the late Mrs. MacIntyre's sister, Mrs. W.D. Burden, and daughters, Mrs. Mary Charlotte Reeves and Mrs. Jean P. Amy. The award was updated in 2005 through the generosity of the estate of Jean P. Amy (Class of ’43). Jane MacIntyre graduated from the Acadia Seminary in 1914.”
