Collaborative Study Shows the Western Atlantic Provides Refuge for Bluefin Tuna

An international team, including researchers from Acadia, completed a wide-scale tagging roject on bluefin tuna. They found that due to lower fishing mortality rates in the Western Atlantic, the area serves a critical role in bolstering the population of this popular fish.
